Baron Davenport Trust

Warwickshire CAVA - Warwick District holds a fund on behalf of Baron Davenport’s charity.

  • Applicants should be aged 60 years or over and either a widow, spinster or divorcee.
    Exceptions may be made for younger widows on limited income with school-age children living at home who are in financial need.  We would prefer that these recommendations be discussed first with the Charity Administrator
  • Applicants must live alone
  • Applicants must have lived in the Midlands area for at least five years
  • Applicants must not be in receipt of Low/High Rate Attendance Allowance; Middle/High rates of Disability Living Allowance; Mobility Allowance (or car allowance)
  • The total income of the household must be no more than £165 per week
  • Applicants’ savings should be no more than £5,000
  • The applicant must have a bank, building society or post office account into which an ‘A/c Payee’ cheque can be deposited
    All the above are subject to review at each Trustees’ Meeting.

Written applications should give details of status, circumstances and financial situation. A letter from a GP, social worker or someone in a similar position should support applications from individuals.

Grants will only be paid to individuals via the person supporting the applications.
