Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust Backs Positive Images of Mental Health
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is backing a national initiative to promote positive images of mental health.
http://www.rethinkyourmind.co.uk/ is hosting creative work including art, photos and poems uploaded by people from across the UK.
The scheme is the brainchild of a range of organisations working in the UK to promote good mental health, and is part of a national campaign to reduce the stigma that can attach to mental health services. The poetry and artwork brief for the project is asking people to take a positive look at mental health by completing the sentence: 'With good mental health I have...'
More than 40 prizes are up for grabs for those selected from entries received from today until the closing date of 31st January 2013.
Sue Eato, assistant director of service user involvement for Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, said: “This competition is a great way of encouraging people to take a positive view of mental health.
“Too often, this is an issue that is hidden away so people don’t talk about it. It will be great to see the ideas that this produces. We’re proud to be associated with this competition, and hope that someone from our area wins the top awards!”
