The event is for those living with dementia, primary carers, family, friends and volunteers running local dementia groups. Its aim is to enable them to find out who the key agencies for dementia support are and what other services are available to them in Warwick District. Attendees can meet therapy pets, enjoy a variety of taster sessions led by local dementia care groups and support services and visit the Marketplace to find out more about local groups and services. They can attend the whole event or just drop in for a while. A buffet lunch will be provided.
We want to attract as many people to the event as possible, so we hope that organisations working within Warwick District and offering dementia support will attend.
The draft programme for the event is as follows:
10.00am | Registration and refreshments
10.30am | Welcome and Introductions, Charles Barlow – WCC Localities and Partnerships
10.40am | Setting the scene in Warwick District, Tony Britton – The Pam Britton Trust for Dementia
11.00am | Networking/Marketplace
11.30am | Refreshments
12.00pm | Workshops
12.45pm | Feedback
13.00pm | Lunch
The Marketplace is a great opportunity for organisations to promote their services. Stalls will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Andrea Hammond on 01926 477515 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book a stall.
Although this is a drop in event for members of the public, it will help us to organise refreshments and lunch if those attending on behalf of an organisation register for the event.
If you have any questions about the event, please contact Gill Jones on 01926 477512 or email: email@example.com
