Fibromyalgia Awareness Day
Fibromyalgia Awareness Day Seeks Voluntary Organisations
Rugby Fibromyalgia Support Group is staging a Fibromyalgia Awareness Day on Saturday 29th May from 10.00am to 4.00pm at the John Lees Hall, Regent Place, Rugby to raise awareness of Fibromyalgia and the groups support activities.
The group is keen to recruit up to 10 other local voluntary organisations to have a table at the event to help promote their complementary services to Rugby area residents.
Maurice Clarke secretary to the group outlines "Last years awareness event was very popular and helped enlarge both our membership and local awareness of Fibromyalgia and we hope to do equally as well this year."
The group meets regularly on the 2nd Thursday in each month from 7pm to 8.30pm at the John Lees Hall, as well as other social events through the year, plus a regular newsletter to its growing membership. On May 13th the national charity Mobilise will be talking to the group about Blue Badge usage as well as other disability motoring issues.
