Match-make fair planned for rural community projects

With £1.2 million of European funding now available to boost economic activity in the rural parishes of Rugby and Warwick the Central Warwickshire LEADER team are inviting local parish groups, community groups and individuals to a ‘meet, greet and communicate’ event on Wednesday 24 March 2010.

The LEADER programme aims to promote the use of services in rural areas through horticultural activities, art initiatives and industry links with a focus on creating a strong sense of place within the region’s villages. The Match Make Fair at Garden Organic’s Ryton Gardens will give interested groups and individuals the opportunity to meet other people and to share their ideas and suggestions for eligible projects.

During the event there will also be an opportunity to hear from guest speakers about their project ideas and experiences. The event is free and starts from 7.00pm – 9.00pm at the Doubleday Hall at  Ryton Gardens - refreshments provided.
