Make Up Your Mind About Crime
Are you worried about crime in your neighbourhood and about how the courts deal with lawbreakers? Do you think the criminal justice system is too soft on offenders, handing out “cushy” fines and community sentences instead of sending them to prison? Warwickshire Probation Trust and the Magistrates’ Association is offering community groups and other organisations in the county, the chance to make up their own minds in an informative, entertaining and interactive presentation.
Local Crime: Community Sentence is a free, live multi-media event presented by a Magistrate and a Probation Officer and explains how and why the police, courts, probation and prison services deal with offenders in the way they do. And it gives you the chance to voice your opinion on whether they’re right or wrong.
The presentation lasts about an hour with plenty of opportunity to make your voice heard. If you’d like to book the presentation for your organisation, please email mail to:lccswarks@hotmail.co.uk To see a video preview of the presentation visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rekq8wsojO4&feature=related
