My Party’s Mandate for Older People - Parliamentary Candidate Presentation
Older People in Action (OPA) is a new, independent organisation seeking charitable status working solely for the benefit of people over 50 in Warwick District. With the needs and issues of older people being such an important topic, and a General Election imminent, OPA is holding two special events on Friday March 26th 2010, where the Parliamentary candidates for Warwick and Leamington and Kenilworth and Southam will each be giving a 5-minute talk on their Political Party’s Mandate for Older People.
EVENT DETAILS
Morning (9.30 a.m. registration with tea/coffee for 10 a.m. start)
The Dormer Conference Centre next to St Peter Apostle R.C. Church

• James Plaskitt - Current MP and Labour Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate
• Chris White - Conservative Parliamentary Candidate
• Alan Beddow – Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate
• Ian Davison – Green Party Parliamentary Candidate

Each event is specifically targeted at people over 50 years, carers and any agencies working for and on behalf of older people. However, anybody is welcome to attend one or both of the events. There will also be an opportunity for a ‘questions and answers’ session at the end of the presentations.
We expect these to be very popular events and attendees will be admitted on a first come, first served basis so the advice is to arrive as close to the registration times as possible. Entry is free. If you need any more information, please contact Sara French, Development Officer for OPA on 01926 477517 or email sara@wcava.org.uk
