New Ideas Advocacy: Wacky Lympix - Team WF!
Wacky Forum celebrated the end of another successful year by holding a Wacky Lympix event. The day included accessible, practical games themed around life skills as chosen by the young people; and included a Housekeeping race, DIY relay and a Grown-up Grumbles game. Players from Coventry Rugby Football Club also joined the young people to show their support and take part in a rugby themed activity.
Members (who wore their own designed team colours) attended from Woodlands, Oak Wood, Exhall Grange and Round Oak Schools; and competed to win trophies and medals for achievements on the day. The young people all took part in the activities and cheering their team mates along; a fun and wacky day was had by all!
The event ended with an awards ceremony where Wacky Forum also celebrated those who had shown outstanding achievement throughout the year. They voted to award their members for doing the best at respecting others, getting involved and listening. The winners of this year’s “Manner Medals” were Jadene E (Exhall Grange), Kyle C (Round Oak) and Patrick H (Brooke). Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the Wacky Lympix and Manner Medal winners!
