Vacancy: Children and Young People Lead

Warwickshire Community And Voluntary Action (WCAVA) are seeking a Children and Young People Lead to support the development of new and existing voluntary and community groups working with children, young people and families across Warwickshire.

Salary:               NJC Scale SO1 point 29 - 31 (currently £25,440 - £27,123)
Hours:                37 hours per week worked flexibly - permanent, subject to funding
Closing date:     Monday 20 th November 2017 at 9am
Interviews:         Thursday 7 th December 2017

The post holder will promote good safeguarding practice and help increase access to volunteering for young people.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience of working with children or young people, or with organisations that do and experience of partnership working
  • Knowledge of good safeguarding practice and an understanding of issues relating to families, children and young people
  • Flexibility to undertake work out of normal office hours and ability to travel throughout the county to attend meetings and events are essential.
