Let volunteering help you reach your New Years Resolutions

Don’t let your resolutions falter! More than half of all New Years Resolutions fail within January, but yours doesn’t have to! Sign up to WCAVA’s ‘New Year, New You’ campaign, and give back to your community.

Here at Warwickshire CAVA (Community and Voluntary Action) we recognise the importance of volunteering, and helping in your local area, so to coincide with the start of the New Year, we have organised events across the county that focus on how you can help your community by volunteering.

Whether it’s giving a few hours a week, a day a month or a one off occasion, we can help you find something that you enjoy doing, whilst you are learning new skills and meeting new people. Whether you like to keep your hands clean, or get dirty, be indoors or out in the open, there’s a volunteering opportunity for you, so why not come see your local Volunteering Coordinator, Rowena Musgrave, to find out what opportunities they have for you.

Rowena, Volunteering Co-ordinator said “Local organisations depend on volunteers and can give so much back in return. Our Volunteers always tell me how much they get out of volunteering, whether its social, or learning something new, and they would recommend anyone with time to spare to come and see what we have available for them.

Your local event is being held on Wednesday, 24th January between 10.00am and 12.30pm at Newtown Centre, Newtown Road. Stop by for a hot drink, a slice of cake and find out how you can give back in 2018. If you can’t make the drop in session, you can sign up for volunteering now at wcava.org.uk/volunteering, call 02476 385765 or email: Rowena@wcava.org.uk
