Consultation: Third Sector Support

Warwickshire County Council is evaluating the infrastructure support services to the Third Sector that are provided by WCAVA.
They want to learn more about existing services and also what organisations think they will require in the future. They have appointed Bath and Main Associates to run the consultation process until the end of September.

There are different ways to participate, but the easiest way is to click on the link and complete the questionnaire:

’Tell us what you think' workshops
Are you a trustee, member of staff or a volunteer for a voluntary or community group operating in Warwickshire? Would you like to have a say in the future infrastructure support available to your group? What we mean by infrastructure support is training, helping a group set up, supporting you to recruit volunteers, attract funding. The kind of support that WCAVA offers.

We are running two workshops, one in the north and one in the south of the county. We hope you will attend and share your views with us, work with other charities, community groups and social enterprises to hear their views and develop ideas together.

Whether your group has received support and services from WCAVA or not, this is a chance to have your say on what infrastructure support is currently provided, what could be better or what services and support your organisation would like in the future.

The 3 hour workshop will be informative, engaging and even fun! It will importantly, be a critical part of the evaluation.

The first is on Monday, 17th September 2018 in the morning (9.30 am - 12.30pm) at The Life Church, Bedworth

The second will be 9.30am - pm on Thursday, 20th September 2018 in Snitterfield (Stratford upon Avon).

Meeting in a Box
We know that, even over the summer, your staff, trustees, and volunteers meet together. As much as we’d like to go to as many of your meetings as possible to hear your views, we simply can’t. However, we have developed a self-facilitation tool – a Meeting in a Box – that will enable your organisation to get involved.

You can request a pack which will enable your organisation to consider some key questions and send back your views so that we can make sure they’re included in the overall evaluation. You don’t need a computer or be online to take part; what you will need is people, pens and paper, plus some time to discuss the questions together. The minimum time you will need is about 30 minutes.

To get a Meeting in a Box, email: info@bathandmain.co.uk or call 07813 977798 / 07549 956376. You will need to give a name and a postal address where the pack can be sent.
