Quality and Development

What service do we offer?

Advice and support on quality development.

Quality is about improving the way your organisation works and the services it delivers, for the benefit of the people who use them.

Quality Assurance is a systematic way of ensuring that this happens.

The Quality Development Project was set up in October 2000. Its original aim was to promote PQASSO (Practical Quality Assurance System for Small organisations) as the most appropriate system for small to medium community and voluntary organisations.

We organise introductory sessions on PQASSO and also provide a mentoring scheme for people in organisations, who would like support in implementing PQASSO. We can also provide introductory sessions on Investing in Volunteers, the UK quality standard for organizations that involve volunteers, and VISIBLE - operating  standards for community organisations, particularly for organisations with responsibility for a multi purpose building. For organisations that want to begin to review their own development but are not yet ready for a quality system, we can provide an organisational health check.

Sessions can be delivered at trustee meetings or away days.

We also provide training sessions on Outcomes as part of the National Outcomes Dissemination Programme run by Charities Evaluation Services. There is a half day introductory workshop and a more in depth 2 day course. Learning more about Outcomes helps you show what differences you make to your beneficiaries.
