Rugby Transport Scheme
This scheme provides affordable, reliable and accessible transport for non profit community groups with a transport need within Rugby Borough and surrounding villages.
This is made possible by organisations with minibuses to offer them for use by ‘not for profit’ groups. The scheme will ensure your trip is affordable, safe and legal in a well maintained vehicle. Where required the minibus will be equipped with a lift to allow for wheelchair access and passengers with mobility problems.
A number of vehicles are included in the scheme which individually can seat up to 16 passengers if there are no wheelchairs or up to 15 passengers and a wheelchair. The buses can be configured to take an additional wheelchair.
Larger groups can be catered for by using multiple vehicles.
Volunteer drivers can be arranged or, subject to insurance criteria, organisations can use their own drivers if they prefer.
If your organisation is thinking of booking a minibus for a day/evening or weekend trip then contact Carole Taylor at the Volunteer Centre on 01788 539573 between 9:00am – 2:00pm Tuesday to Thursday to discuss the scheme or email carole@wcava.org.uk
