South Warwickshire Volunteering Forum (SWVF)
The next event to be held by the South Warwickshire Volunteering Forum (SWVF) will take place Wednesday, 14 April from 9.30 am-12.00 noon at Bath Place Community Venture, Leamington Spa. This network meeting will also include a bitesize workshop entitled "Vetting and Barring Scheme". New legislation means if your organisation works with children or vulnerable adults. you need to be aware how the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) which helps organisations make safer recruitment decisions and the Independent Safeguarding Authority’s (ISA) role, which is to help prevent unsuitable people from working with children and vulnerable adults operate. For example, potential employees and volunteers will need to apply to register with the ISA - find out what the new legislation means to you, your organisation and your volunteers.
If you are not a member of SWVF and would like more information please contact Chris Lancaster on chris@wcava.org.uk. If you are already a member then you will be receiving a pesonal invite.
