West Midlands (South) Comprehensive Local Research Network (Warwickshire)
The West Midlands (South) Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) involves patients and health workers to have access to research in Coventry, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. All clinical research undertaken in the region is supported by the organisation and one of the aims is to increase the number of patient and public members having the opportunity to be involved in research and share their views and experiences of being involved in clinical research.
The network has organised a number of patient and public involvement related activities to help us maintain ongoing dialogues with the community they serve, ie: setting up a regional patient and public advisory group, offering a training workshop in patient and public involvement in research, organising events across the region and producing publicity to raise awareness about the CLRN.
