Why attend this course?
We make sense of a complex and confusing system!

This course covers the following:

  • Why the system is so complex (clue: why we have so many benefits);

  • the contributory/noncontributory basis of all benefits;

  • matters common to all benefits such as claims, overpayments,

  • complaints & compensation;

  • the structure of the system;

  • the role of appointees;

  • how the means test works (and why many are forced to pass it) and

  • how to challenge adverse decisions, up to & beyond 1st Tier Tribunals.

We also give a brief outline of Universal Credit, reflecting the impact it is having, and its possible impact on the benefit system as a whole.

An excellent introduction, presented in a light but informative manner.

With this course you get: a comprehensive training pack; training provided by an experienced practitioner; an opportunity to network with similar frontline workers; the chance to get an answer to that burning question; follow-up queries answered by email, and chocolate biscuits.
