Wednesday, 23rd January 2019, 9.45am - 1.00pm, Café Lomas, Stratford Hospital, Arden Street, Stratford CV37 6NX
WCAVA’s Community Action Networks provide an opportunity for voluntary and community organisations to stay informed about relevant local and national issues and to network.
The theme of this event will be 'Supporting health and well-being in the community'. Emily Van de Venter Associate Director from Public Health will be providing scene setting insight; Chris Evans General Manager for Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (Children and Families) will be talking about supporting young people’s mental health in the community; Anne Coyle Managing Director of Operations from South Warwickshire Foundation Trust will be providing an update on the ‘Out of Hospital Programme’ which aims to treat people outside a hospital setting and do more to join up care available in the community.
The voluntary and community sector has traditionally supported people’s wellbeing through services, volunteering and advocacy. Table top discussions will help to identify further opportunities to work across sectors to support people’s health and prevent them having to go into hospital.
