A free webinar for voluntary, community, charities and social enterprises (VCS) to learn more about and benefit from Stratford on Avon’s Social Inclusion Partnership (SIP).

About this Event
Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action in association with the Stratford Social Inclusion Partnership are hosting a free webinar for voluntary, community, charities and social enterprises (VCS) to learn more about and benefit from Stratford on Avon’s Social Inclusion Partnership (SIP).

It is hoped that the webinar will lead to the following outcomes:

  • Raise awareness of the SIP and its priorities within the VCS

  • Identify SIP funding opportunities

  • Provide information and opportunities on how to benefit from the SIP

  • Raise awareness on WCAVAs SIP support package.

The key themes of the revised SIP priorities are:

  • Young people

  • Isolation

  • Community centres

  • Financial hardship

  • Under and unemployment

  • Domestic abuse

  • Health and Wellbeing

  • Celebration of community contribution.

Any voluntary, community, social enterprise or charity which is based or works within the Stratford on Avon District and works with one of more of the SIP themes are very welcome to attend. As are statutory organisations who work with the VCS.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, 26th November 2020 at 11.00am

Background
The Stratford-on-Avon District Social Inclusion Partnership (SIP) is made up of partners from the public, voluntary and community sectors whose aim is to work strategically across Stratford-on-Avon District to minimise the likelihood and impact of social and financial exclusion in the District and increase community resilience.

Stratford-on-Avon District Social Inclusion Statement (SIS) 2019-2024 is an evidence based document developed through SIP which outlines social and financial inclusion priorities for the district.

In March 2020 SIS priorities were reviewed and refocused in response to the COVID-19. A Community Recovery Plan was developed, broadly aligned to the existing priorities.

The events will be delivered by Zoom and a meeting ID and password will be emailed to you prior to the event.
