Vacancy: Early Years Group Development Officer

Warwickshire CAVA is seeking an Early Years Group Development Officer to work in partnership with ‘Closing the Gap’ project colleagues to deliver appropriate support to VCOs in order to improve quality and increase capacity across the children’s workforce.

Salary:                  NJC Scale SO1 point 29 currently £25,694
Hours:                  10 hours per week
Duration:               12 month fixed term contract

Interview date:       w/c Monday, 15th August 2016

Warwickshire’s Smart Start initiative seeks to ensure the best start for children from 0-5 years. Working in close collaboration with the ‘Closing the Gap’ project, this post will support the development of emerging, new and existing community groups whose focus is early years provision, across Warwickshire, but predominantly Rugby and South Warwickshire.

The successful candidate must have experience of successful fundraising, supporting volunteers and be able to demonstrate effective partnership working. Knowledge of a variety of funding streams and common grants procedures and requirements and knowledge of the role of local development/ infrastructure agencies are essential for this role.
