Heart of England Community Energy Launch Event

The UK’s largest community energy company - Heart of England Community Energy - has launched a share offer in Warwickshire for local people interested in supporting renewable energy, tackling fuel poverty in the community and making a healthy return of a target 6% gross annual interest.

Heart of England Community Energy (HECE) recently acquired three existing solar farms located on the old DEFRA site just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. The farms have been operational for over a year and generate enough electricity to supply 4,500 homes in the local area.

Heart of England Community Energy will recycle surplus profits back into the Warwickshire community by supporting local charities and projects with a positive social and environmental impact. The goal is to donate approximately £2.7 million to good causes over the projects’ lifetime with an intended minimum of £30,000 per year.

A launch event is to be held at 5.30 –7.30pm, Wednesday, 24th January 2018 at Stratford Town Hall, Sheep Street, Stratford upon Avon, CV37 6EF for all interested parties.
