Volunteers' Week is a chance to be part of the UK's biggest celebration of volunteering and a chance to say thank you for the fantastic contribution thousands of volunteers make across Warwickshire.
Warwickshire CAVA are launching the North Warwickshire Volunteer Awards evening on 6th June to say thank you to the volunteers that support the people and places in our communities. The evening is an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment of volunteers across North Warwickshire.
We will be celebrating individual volunteers and groups of volunteers with awards for their support in:
- Health and Well-being
- Creative and the Arts
- Community Impact
- Long Service Award
- Unsung Hero
- Young volunteer (age 14-25)
On Thursday 7th June, we are hosting the Nuneaton and Bedworth Volunteer Awards 2018. Once again, Warwickshire CAVA has joined with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council to celebrate the inspiring volunteers within the borough.
The evening is a celebration of volunteers throughout Nuneaton and Bedworth. Last year’s event saw over 35 nominations, in 6 categories, with over 100 attendees, and this year’s event looks set to be bigger and better"
Carol Kavanagh, our Rugby Volunteering Coordinator will achieve her life ambition by being a roving reporter for the day interviewing some of the inspiring volunteers who contribute so much to groups across Rugby Borough. Look out for this great promotion of volunteering in the Rugby Advertiser during June.

Celebrate Volunteers Week with your volunteers by joining in the fun at our annual quiz evening and pit your wits and knowledge against the best brains in volunteering! Come as a team or join one on the evening.
Entry is free and includes a light supper.
Helen Wilkinson our Volunteering Coordinator for Warwick District will be visiting groups across the district to interview volunteers as they are carrying out their voluntary work. This will include volunteers at Leamington Night Shelter, the preparation of vegetable boxes at the Sydni Centre, servicing second hand bikes at Action 21, puppy socialising at Guide Dogs, gardening at New Street Burial Ground and Foundry Wood and a brownie group in the evening. Look at out for coverage of these interesting and diverse voluntary activities in the local press during Volunteers Week.
