Vacancy: Big Local Youth and Support Worker

Big Local Arley & Ansley (The Leys Millionaires) are looking for a Youth and Support Worker to develop and deliver a curriculum with young people which is educational, participative, empowering and promotes equality of opportunity and to actively engage & empower residents to participate in developing and leading community action.

NJC Scale 4 point 19 currently £19,446 pro rata – unqualified
NJC Scale 4 point 21 currently £20,541 pro rata – qualified to Level 2 in Youth Work

Hours:20 hours per week
Duration: Fixed term contract until end of June 2021
Closing date: Wednesday, 17th April 2019 at 9.00am
Interview date: w/c Monday, 29th April 2019

The successful candidate must have experience in a youth and community setting, working with young people in a range of youth settings. Knowledge of good safeguarding practice, an understanding and interest of community and social issues and knowledge of the role of local development and infrastructure agencies is essential for this role.

Flexibility to undertake work out of normal hours & occasional weekend and ability to travel throughout Warwickshire to attend meetings and events are essential.
