Homeless Link: COVID-19 Homelessness Response Fund

Homeless Link have now opened the COVID-19 Homelessness Response Fund for a second round.

Charitable organisations can now apply for funding of £5.5 million. £4.82 million is provided by The National Lottery Community Fund and will help homelessness charities in England. The remaining £680,000 is from Comic Relief and will focus on charities based in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The criteria is as follows:

  • The grants are open to registered charities, Charitable Incorporated Organisations, Community Benefit Societies and Community Interest Companies (with an asset lock) in England

  • Organisations must be small to medium sized (up to £5 million annual turnover) and currently work directly with people experiencing homelessness (50 per cent of beneficiaries must be people experiencing homelessness)

  • Grants must be for revenue funding only

  • Applicants should have (forecasted) unrestricted cash reserves of below 3 months following the impact of COVID-19 this financial year.

Please note Homeless Link will not fund organisations that were successful in Round 1 of the COVID-19 Homelessness Response Fund (which distributed £6m funding from MHCLG).
