As we look forward to gradually re-opening the country after the COVID-19 pandemic, it's important that we ‘bounce back’ onto firmer ground. This could not be more important for our invaluable voluntary, charity and enterprise sectors.
A recent State of the Sector report we undertook in April highlighted that 60% of organisations who responded had reduced activity in a significant way in response to the pandemic. Although it is still too early to determine the full extent of the impact from the coronavirus pandemic, it is still expected to be a smaller voluntary sector that emerges.
Warwickshire CAVA wants to help groups to bounce back from their recent challenges and the new obstacles they face on resuming or expanding activities over the next few months as lockdown eases.
We are hosting 2 FREE 'Bounce Back From COVID' webinars for the Voluntary, Community, Charity and Social Enterprise sectors - spread across two days: on Wednesday 12th at 2pm for Northern Warwickshire and Rugby groups, and Thursday 13th of August at 11am for South Warwickshire and Solihull Groups. We would encourage any voluntary or community organisation to attend, as hopefully it will answer any questions you might have and offer some valuable information.
The event will cover topics such as:
Sharing issues/problems and hearing how others are tackling these
Keeping volunteers safe and recruiting new ones
Good governance in a pandemic.
To sign up to the webinar - please visit: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/warwickshire-community-and-voluntary-action-2548934512. Closing date: 12 noon Monday, 10th August 2020.
A Zoom meeting ID and password will be emailed to you prior to the event once you sign up.
We are also asking 2 questions when you sign up to help us design the programme in more detail.
