Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games - Apprenticeships

Birmingham 2022 is looking for individuals who want to be part of the largest multi-sport event ever to be held in the West Midlands.

Statement from Birmingham 2022:

Approximately 6,500 athletes and team officials from 72 Commonwealth nations and territories will come together for a fantastic celebration of sport and culture.

Events will take place across Birmingham and the West Midlands, entertaining more than one million ticketed spectators and reaching a global broadcast audience of more than one billion. The Games will take place on 28th July 2022 to 8th August 2022. To join us on this exciting journey, we are looking for a group of apprentices to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration. This is a full time position and will be based at our offices in Brindley Place, Birmingham once we are back in the office. The duration of the apprenticeship is 15 to 18 months with a salary of £18k per year. We will also launch further vacancies for individuals to join us early next year so please do keep an eye out for updates.

The responsibilities of the role include supporting and engaging with various teams across the organisation and interacting with internal and external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of Business Administrator will contribute to the efficiency of the organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

The Business Administrator is expected to undertake their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role requires strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing these skills. The Business Administrator is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities and their own time, along with problem-solving and decision-making skills, as they will play an important support role within our organisation. We are looking for individuals who have the passion, enthusiasm and commitment to work for Birmingham 2022 and who have the desire to succeed in this role.

To apply for the role you must be computer literate and have at least a grade C/ Level 4 in GCSE English and grade D/ Level 3 in Maths.
