Good governance during and beyond the pandemic

Good governance during and beyond the pandemic.

In conjunction with partner organisations, and funding from Warwickshire County Council, we are delighted to be able to deliver the following FREE sessions the to VCSE sector in Warwickshire.

Factor Networking and Consultancy will be providing 6 action learning sets consisting of 2 facilitated shared learning sessions, for voluntary sector leaders and trustees to pool and reflect upon their different approaches to governance in their respective organisations.

The first session is “Governance during the pandemic” gathering from participants how their different Boards have adapted their decision-making processes, looking at how decisions have been taken more rapidly and by whom, and how the full Board have been kept informed where rapid decisions have been taken by sub-groups or mandated officers.

The second session is “Governance beyond the pandemic”, looking at the roles of Boards in strategy, anticipation and risk management based on the learning from the crisis, and how Boards are using the shake-up from the crisis to move from more passive and reactive forms of governance (e.g. focused mainly on scrutinising reports from senior managers) to more active and proactive governance such as horizon-scanning and scenario planning.

Sessions are available throughout February and March (see attachment below); places can be booked by emailing the facilitator Rob Allison at
