Good governance during and beyond the pandemic: April Workshops & Good Practice Report.

Two larger workshops on 16/26 April using Zoom breakout rooms to share good practice and innovative approaches to governance between Warwickshire charities including:

  • how trustees are increasingly involved outside of full Board meetings – through sub-committees, specific portfolios, project work, etc

  • recruitment and succession planning – how trustees are being recruited to add to key skills within charities

  • new approaches and techniques for good governance – tools and approaches that are being explored to horizon scan and manage risk.

Each session is focused on sharing experience, tips, expertise and new ways of working between participants in breakout rooms of 4-5 people.

These two workshops will also share content from and build upon the good practice report from the 5 action learning sets held during February/March with CEOs, Chairs and other officers from a range of Warwickshire charities.

Warwickshire charities - CEOs, chairs, trustees, and directors / senior managers who work closely with trustees on governance.

A choice of two dates (same format for both) – open to as many trustees and senior staff as wish to attend due to a flexible format, participants can attend one or both if they wish:

  • 9.30am – 12.00 noon, Friday 16th April 2021 and/or

  • 12.30pm – 3.00pm, Monday 26th April 2021
