Warwick District Council RUCIS Scheme.

Warwick District Council operates a Rural / Urban Capital Improvement Scheme (RUCIS) which gives grants (£1,000 - £30,000) towards capital projects to not-for-profit community organisations which make use of volunteer labour within Warwick District area. Capital is defined as “funds used by an organisation to purchase or upgrade physical assets such as property or equipment”.

For example:

  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy technology; loft, cavity wall or external wall insulation, LED lighting including controls & sensors, solar panels, heat pumps, replacement 'A' rated boilers or burners including zone control, heat recovery and thermal stores, electric charging infrastructure for public use

  • Building repairs and construction

  • Disabled access / facilities

  • Resurfacing; car-parks, driveway, sports courts, play areas

  • New facilities; kitchens, toilets

  • New equipment; playgrounds, machinery.

Projects up to £10,000 can receive a contribution of up to a maximum of 90%* of the overall costs

Projects over £10,000 can receive a contribution of up to 60%* of the overall costs (maximum award of £30,000)

* Please note that if the project does not meet the 'Environmentally sensitive' aim noted within the criteria the maximum contribution will be reduced to 80% (projects under £10,000) or 50% (projects over £10,000)
