FREE Carer Aware and Young Carer Aware Training for those who regularly care for family and friends.
Those who regularly care for family and friends with everyday tasks or emotional support are informal unpaid carers. People with caring responsibilities should be recognised and supported for what they do for those who are older, those with physical or mental illness or disability or someone affected by substance misuse. Those who care can be an adult, a parent looking after a child or a child or young person. It has been estimated that 4 out of 5 of us will provide care to someone in our lifetime. The Local Authority also has a statutory obligation to support carers wellbeing (Click here for more information on support for Carers).
To learn more about carers and caring whether you care for someone, work with carers or know someone who has caring responsibilities this course will give the information you need to support carers. This is an interactive course and you will have the opportunity to gain a CPD accredited certificate. To access the Carer Aware course click here and for the Young Carer Aware course click here.
