Date: Thursday, 16th May 2019
Time: 10.30 - 1.00pm
Venue: Voluntary Action Coventry, 27-29 Trinity Street, Coventry CV1 1FJ
What is the workshop about?
This course looks at how you can use social media more effectively in order to promote your organisation’s aims and activities and raise its profile. It is for staff and volunteers who use social media on behalf of their organisation, but would not consider themselves particularly confident, skilled or expert (although some basic experience of social media is needed).
What will it cover:
This workshop will help participants to become more confident in using social media to market their organisation, whether that be for events, campaigns or more generally to raise awareness. It will consider how to extend your organisation’s presence on social media and how to help increase engagement. In particular, it will look at how to make content more effective, using examples from Facebook and Twitter.
(a) Be more aware of how to extend their organisation’s reach and engagement on social media.
(b) Have improved understanding of target audiences and effective content.
(c) Be more confident in using social media to promote their organisation.
