Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) available for local charity or community organisations

Warwickshire County Council has a number of products that it is looking to redistribute.

The PPE Service at Warwickshire County Council has a volume of products that can no longer be used as PPE. This might be due to the use by date having passed, the quality and safety certificate not being completely correct, or it no longer being a product that is recommended for use. Even though they are no longer suitable for PPE, we are keen that these products are put to good use in other ways. For example, when gardening or painting, gloves can keep hands clean. Face coverings can be used in situations where a face mask isn’t required but a face covering is recommended.

We are now making these products available for charities and community organisations. Anyone taking these items will be required to complete a form stating they understand that these items cannot be used as PPE, and boxes will be clearly labelled.

The products are:

  • Sanitiser (5l, 500ml, 250ml)
  • Gloves: S, M (nitrile, boxes of 100)
  • Coveralls
  • Gowns
  • Wipes (packs of 100)
  • Visors
  • Goggles
  • Disposable face coverings (packs of 50)
  • Transparent masks (packs of 50).

The service also has a number of other products that do not now need to be kept in stock which we are also offering. This includes cleaning sprays and cardboard boxes suitable for packing or storage.

Evans Safe Zone cleaning sprays (use by 10/23). Cases of 6.  Safety data sheet
Selgiene Extreme cleaning sprays (no use by date). Cases of 6. Safety data sheet
Boxes (cardboard, around 0.5×0.5×0.4 m, packs of 10)
Reusable (fabric) face coverings
M/L vinyl gloves (use by 2025, packs of 250)
Type IIR masks (use by 11/23, cases of 1000)

Items will be issued on a strictly first come first served basis.

If a charity or community organisation is able to use these items, or has any queries about them, please could they fill in this form with details of the items they are interested in, and quantities they are able to take. We will then confirm what we can supply and delivery or collection will be arranged. Orders will need to be made as soon as possible.
