Sofia* who has recently arrived from Ukraine was referred to Warwickshire & Solihull CAVA by a Job Coach at Stratford Job Centre, as she wanted to do something useful, meet people, and learn English.

Our Stratford District Volunteer Coordinator, Karen, suggested three local roles; one in a charity shop sorting out clothes, one in a toddler group, and one at a community group for older, isolated people.

Karen liaised with the toddler group lead, and the community group lead and passed on information about the times, dates and role details to Sofia.

Sofia has attended both groups and tells us that she really enjoys the sessions.
