Warwickshire Kind Communities – Kind Food Grant Fund 2025

This new grant fund from Warwickshire County Council opens on Monday, 13th October 2025.

The deadline for applications to be submitted is Friday, 14th November 2025 at 5.00pm.

What this funding is for

The grant fund provides a total of £22,500 funding for community-based projects which will support the delivery of the priorities in the Warwickshire Food Strategy 2023-2026. Applicants can apply for up to £1,000 per project. Projects must demonstrate how they will support one or more of the following Food Strategy priorities:

Priority 1 – Improving food affordability and access
Improving food affordability and access – help residents to access more affordable, local, or healthier food choices, and in this way contribute to a reduction in food insecurity.

Priority 2 – Education and choice
Education and choice – provide knowledge and awareness to help people implement more nutritious and healthier diets; for example, about meal preparation, how to correctly store food, healthy recipes, or what nutrients and health benefits can be found from eating different types of food.

Priority 3 – Sustainable choices
Sustainable choices – encourage or provide locally sourced food options or support the reduction and recycling of food waste.

2. Can I start my application and return to it later?

Yes, it is a word document, you can save it, complete it at any time and return it to kckf@wcava.org.uk, as long as it’s by the deadline of Friday, 14th November 2025.

3. Do I have to submit my application online?

We would prefer it if you complete your application on the word document and then email it as an attachment to kckf@wcava.org.uk. However, if you are struggling to do this you can send a paper copy to KCKF c/o The Newtown Centre, Newtown Road, Nuneaton CV11 4HG

4. If I am successful, when will I get the money?

We are aiming to let you know about decisions and distribute grants before Christmas if you have completed your grant acceptance and supplied us with bank details.

5. Can the grant cover the cost of something I already purchased or work already carried out?

No, the grant does not cover retrospective funding or past purchases.


6. Can I apply for more than one project?

No, you may only apply for a single project under this fund.


7. Can I apply if I have had KCKF funding previously?

Yes, if you have met all of the previous grant terms and conditions.


8. When does the grant need to be used by?

If successful, the grant needs to be spent by 31st March 2026, although delivery can continue beyond this, if necessary, e.g. you have requested to purchase capital equipment, but you’ll use this equipment after March.
